The production of removable dentures is indicated in patients with a large number of missing teeth or with completely edentulous jaws.
Partial plaque dentures
Partial plaque dentures are made of plastic base and artificial teeth with photopolymer particles. The retention is carried out to the available teeth by wire hooks.
Model – cast prosthesis
Model – cast prosthesis is a type of partial prosthesis. The hooks and the skeleton of the prosthesis are made of metal, and the teeth are made of plastic artificial teeth, which may also contain photopolymer particles. This type of prosthesis provides better comfort for speech and nutrition than partial plaque prostheses as well as better retention. The patient’s adaptation to this type of construction is easier.
Whole dentures
Whole dentures (total) are indicated for completely edentulous jaws. They are made of plastic and the teeth may also contain photopolymer particles. Their retention is realized by a vacuum effect.
